Dr.
E. Christopher Jackson is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He is an ordained minister who received his Bachelor of Arts
degree in English Literature from the University of Tenn.-
Knoxville. He completed his Master of Divinity degree at Southern
Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and his
Doctor of Ministry degree at United Theological Seminary in
Dayton, Ohio. He serves as a staff pastor and Minister of
Nurture at the Temple Church in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr.
Jackson is an accomplished writer and the author of two books
internationally published by Zondervan Publishing House: Straight
Talk on Tough Topics, and The Black Christian Single's Guide
to Dating and Sexuality. Other resources include Have You
Fed Your Dream Today and The Couple Game. He wrote the international
daily instructional guide for the Baptist World Youth Conference
and has also written extensively for the Sunday School Publishing
Board and for LifeWay. He has been referenced twice in Ebony
Magazine and is a nationally known speaker and seminar leader
for Universities, Singles Groups, and churches of various
denominations.
He
is married to Dr. Coreen D. Jackson who is a licensed minister
and holds a Ph.D. from Howard University. They are members
of the Temple Church in Nashville. Their sons are Joshua,
Juleon, and Jemiah. Special interests include music, drama,
interpretive movement, reading, nature, visual art, basketball
and photography. International travels include West Africa,
Bahamas, Jamaica, Spain and Venezuela. One of his life's primary
objectives in life is to help other people to discover their
life purpose. His personal mission statement is "To honor
God, pursue purpose, and empower people through practical
and creative ministries of teaching, writing, conferencing,
and producing the arts." The Biblical reference that
resonates with his heart is a quote from Jesus: "But
seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all
these things will be added to you."
He
is married to Dr. Coreen D. Jackson who holds a Ph.D from
Howard University.
Dr.
Coreen Jackson, a native of Jamaica, is a Conference Speaker,
Worship Consultant, Author, Co-founder of Creative Ministry Consultants, Minister, and member of The Temple Church in Nashville.
She holds a B.A. degree from William Jewell College in Liberty
Missouri, a M.S. degree from Brooklyn College in New York,
and a Ph.D. degree from Howard University in Washington D.C.
She is living evidence that faith in God works and if it is
God's will it is God's bill. Dr. Jackson served as Director
and Assistant Professor at Houston Baptist University and
Professor at Middle Tennessee State University. Currently
Dr. Jackson teaches Mass Communication at Tennessee State
University..
She
travels locally and nationally declaring the word of the Lord
to return to true worship. Her dynamic new book Cry For True
Worship echoes the heart of God, and calls for those who will
worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. She conducts worship seminars
with choirs and churches and teaches the pathway to Biblical
worship. She joins forces with her husband Dr. Chris Jackson,
a native son of Chattanooga, in ministering at Singles and
Marriage Conferences throughout the country. The Jacksons,
along with three wonderful sons, reside in Nashville, Tennessee.
